A Snickers knock-off? Or a Dubai Choccie twist?

Good morning friends and fireflies,

I’ve wholefoodied the Snickers concept. And it was so easy.

Go ahead and switch out the peanuts for pistachios, if you’d rather a Dubai Choccie vibe. Both are sensational, and demand your attention.

You, dear reader, already know that eating rubbish (ultra processed foods) in the long term will result in feeling like rubbish. This is because we rob our body of the nutrition it needs to function optimally. It is, in my opinion, an expensive opportunity cost. This is not not quantum physics. It’s basic algebra.

The definition of madness, warns Beckett, is in doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results. If your body isn’t functioning well on junk food, here’s a recipe to consider. One thing we can be sure of is that scientific evidence consistently proves that eating well is good for body and mind. Eating poorly will short-circuit your system.

If we eat natural, whole, minimally processed foods with a plant slant (see tahini vid above), our body will function well and we will fizz through the day like a Pokémon on four espressos. Okay, so that’s my subjective experience. But it’s there for you to discover! Michael Pollan probably puts it more eloquently when he advises “it’s better to pay the grocer than the doctor.”
