Hi Olga! You can totally leave it out. No protein powder necessary (it was a request from several subscribers for more recipes using protein powder). It might need an extra tablespoon of oats however, to soak up the liquid. You can also swap out the matcha powder for 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric instead, for a totally different vibe. Really tasty!
